Micro Needling & PRP/PRF

WHAT IS MICRO NEEDLING?

Skin Pen Is the Lamborghini of micro needling devices!
Beautiful skin is within your reach with SkinPen Precision! This exciting treatment can improve your complexion, reduce wrinkles of the neck, reduce the appearance of acne scars and reveal smooth healthy skin.

How Does SkinPen work?

SkinPen Precision creates thousands of microscopic channels in your skin. While doing this, it activates the body’s natural healing response to remodel the skin and keep the overall structure of the skin intact.

What Can I Expect at My SkinPen Treatment?

Your provider may apply numbing cream to your skin in order to keep you more comfortable during your treatment. This typically takes 30 minutes to take effect, depending on the treatment area. After your treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink to red, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn.

RF channeling (micro-needling)

A procedure that uses tiny needles and radio frequency waves to rejuvenate facial skin. The needles form a small channel in the skin and then release radio frequency waves into those channels, causing additional purposeful damage. This treatment is a form of highly controlled skin injury. The injury created we create with our needles and radio frequency waves stimulates the growth of healthy new skin, boosting your body’s natural ability to produce collagen, elastin and other essential building blocks of healthy skin. Radio Frequency enhances the end results of standard micro needling so that the skin grows back thicker, and smoother.

Micro needling with Radio Frequency can target:

  • acne scars
  • aging spots or blemishes
  • appearance of large pores
  • cellulite
  • fine lines
  • hyperhidrosis
  • hyperpigmentation
  • loose, sagging skin
  • scars from injury or surgery
  • stretch marks
  • sun spots
  • wrinkles
  • PRP HAIR INJECTIONS

What does PRP hair injections treat?

PRP injections for hair restoration is commonly used in both men and women. Clients who receive PRP therapy during the early stages of hair loss tend to see the best results.  Anyone experiencing any form of hair loss is essentially a good candidate for PRP injections.

What are the benefits for PRP hair restoration?

    • Thinning Hair
    • Bald Spots
    • Hair Shedding
    • Patches
    • Widening parts
    • Receding hairline
    • Alopecia

How does PRP Hair Regrowth work?

We will use a PRP Kit to draw the clients blood and spin the blood in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma. Next we will inject the highly concentrated platelets, which contain cytokines and other growth factors into the clients hair follicles and hair roots. A person’s hair follicles and hair roots need to be healthy to achieve optimal hair growth. Using the clients own blood plasma increases the blood circulation to the hair follicles helping the growth of new healthy hair.

      What is PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)?

PRF stands for platelet rich fibrin. PRF is considered the second generation to platelet rich plasma (PRP). PRF uses the patient’s blood to get platelets, white blood cells, fibrin and mesenchymal stem cells. PRF provides a slow release of the growth factors that is measured in days not hours like PRP. This all natural treatment is used for many procedures, such as cosmetic rejuvenation, joint pain, hair restoration and dental implants.

      What is the PRF process?

A medical professional will draw the patient’s blood into a PRF tube then place it to be spun in a centrifuge. PRF tubes contain no additives and are spun at much slower speeds than PRP resulting in the majority of the cells at the top of the PRF tube. The medical professional will then extract the PRF with a syringe and inject it into the patient's targeted areas. Many PRF cosmetic procedures will use a micro needling device like the Integrity Hydra Needle to deliver the serum in the skin.

What are the benefits of Platelet Rich Fibrin?

PRF injections have similar benefits as PRP, however the growth factors are released slower. PRF gives providers flexibility as it can be used as a membrane, liquid or injectable.

      Common PRF treatments:

      • Skin rejuvenation
      • Loose skin and dark circles under the eyes
      • Hair restoration
      • Deflated cheeks

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) and platelet rich fibrin (PRF) may look very similar, as both procedures treat the same type of regenerative applications, however, there are some clear differences in the two.  A PRF tube does not contain any additives.  PRF is spun at much slower speeds than PRP which creates a fibrin matrix.  PRF is more focused on the growth factors from the white blood cells. The growth factors in PRF release slower over time after injections compared to PRP.
